  • XML services
  • Voice processing
  • SIP
  • Mobile phone applications and integration

Geolocation

The benefits of Geolocation are great but elements of the technology falter under certain conditions, like being inside a building. The new IPS technology intends to fill the gap left by the shortcomings of GPS when indoors. We are working hard to integrate it into our products while not forgetting the security and privacy aspects afforded to Geolocation which apply equally here.

SIP

We are always looking into ways to improve our users' experiences with computer telephony and the advantages of SIP are ones we have not ignored. The savings, flexibility and control offered by SIP make it a very appealing alternative to ISDN.

We are developing a range of SIP applications that can be used to complement VoIP and hosted PBXs. These include:

  • Desktop SIP softphone
  • SIP based operator console
  • SIP based voice processing/IVR
  • Video and other collaboration technologies
  • Complementary software for Microsoft OCS/Lync

Headsets

Headsets

Headsets have also been a perfect complement for Unified Communications. So we are working with a couple of leading headset manufacturers to improve the experience further. Users can now buy "triple" mode headsets: Deskphone, Softphone and Bluetooth. And we are developing the environment so that it can better handle the three types of device and give users a consistent experience regardless of where their calls come from.

Third-party Federation

Mondago's hosted platform will allow users to exchange presence with users of other Unified Communications systems, including Microsoft Lync and XMPP systems. This is done through Mondago's central cloud based federation server.

Premise-based server software contains a module that connects to the central hosted server. Each customer is configured with its own domain name that acts as a subdomain of our master domain, i.e. mycompany.Mondago.com. So users can exchange Instant Messaging and Presence with users from other companies using an IM address in the form [email protected] This means that no DNS or firewall configuration is required.

Alternatively, if a customer has the ability to change their DNS master records and configure their company firewall then they should be able to use their existing email addresses as their IM addresses too.

WebRTC

WebRTC

Another developing technology is Web Real-Time Communication (WebRTC) and we are right on the front-line of that development. This browser-based communication system opens up new possibilities for communicating and sharing content across multiple platforms effortlessly from the user's point-of-view.
